Claiming Pleasure
is everyone's birthright.
I am a speaker, performer, funeral celebrant, mother, survivor, writer and lifelong lover of games. I want to share my journey from disconnection and shame to daily practices of acceptance and appreciation.
I have created a podcast. The Claiming Pleasure Podcast.
It will be a warm, gentle space to explore our relationship with play, healing, and our bodies, particularly after sexual abuse.
Laughter and play are a natural part of healing from grief and trauma, that is seldom talked about or explored.
Each episode will feature conversations exploring bodies, play, and recovery through personal stories, reflections, and insights.
It is intended for those struggling with self-worth or self-criticism, for anyone disconnected from their sense of pleasure and play, for survivors seeking inspiration to ground and reconnect with their bodies and sense of self. Basically, a lot of people.
Feeling at home in our body is healing. We’re all deserving of feeling good.
Pleasure is vital to our well-being.
Check out the podcast. Follow it. Follow here. We can keep the conversation going, with genuine acknowledgement, sometimes with humour & always with respect.
